Assistant Director

Are you an experienced early learning professional who’s ready to take your career to the next level, developing your leadership skills and helping to build a successful business?
 

If so, this might be a great opportunity for you to shine where you will lead the way in helping operate our beautiful 76-place not-for-profit centre. This position is flexible to part-time or full-time employment and both internal and external employees are encouraged to apply! 2-3 days per week non-contact.
 

As the Assistant Director, you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operations. You will work in collaboration with the centre leadership team and establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care and administrative functions

  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team

  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence

Your experience:

  • Working towards, or holding a degree in Early Childhood or, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in a leadership position in an Early Childhood Service (desirable) 

  • Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, team leadership and management of staff.

  • Possess excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Valid - WWCC
